Can Wellesley avoid another override?

The Selectmen hope so, according to this Globe account. The good news is that the currently projected $1.8 million operating budget shortfall is nearly $1 million less than town officials expected in spring. But recently announced cuts in state aid could still make things pretty dicey, as Selectmen target cuts to school-related and other expenses.
