Wellesley, others pulling plug on online prostitution

Channel 5 News (see video) reaches back to a couple of incidents in Wellesley to illustrate the issue of prostitutes/prostitution rings exploiting Craigslist and other online systems to do their business in the suburbs. Wellesley Deputy Police Chief Bill Brooks says not so fast:

“I think sometimes people who come into a suburban setting probably think they won’t be noticed. Maybe there’s even the perception that the detectives are less sophisticated, which I can tell you is not true.”

An Illinois sheriff filing suit against Craiglist has inspired this latest coverage.
