Play ball, Wellesley

Wellesley Little League Softball and Baseball will celebrate the opening of our spring seasons this weekend. The Girls Softball program opens Friday night at Hunnewell Field. Wellesley’s Susu Bakery Boutique is worth the trip from Boston, according to a blogger at Bostonist. She’s particularly keen on the chocolate cupcakes, which she calls “just the right balance of chocolate and sweet.”

Bobby's American Grille coming to Wellesley lower falls

Earth Day clean-up in Wellesley this Saturday

Wellesley’s Natural Resources Commission invites you to join in the annual Earth Day clean-up on Saturday, April 25. Meet at the parking lot at Rte. 16/River St. Show up between 9am-noon. The idea is that locals can rent out their driveways etc., to those desperate for parking near Wellesley High during the construction of the new school. The WHS Parking site is still in beta testing, but you’ll get the idea.
