The owner of a Somerville bistro called The Kebab Factory is planning to bring an eatery called Singh’s Cafe to 312 Washington St. in Wellesley current home of Vela, according to the Townsman. Aman Singh, whose father owns The Kebab Factory (which coincidentally is also on Washington St., though in Somerville), said his dad is partnering with others to acquire and renovate the Wellesley location. Singh says that the restaurant will feature Indian food but will have more of a fusion theme. He says it will most likely be a few more months before the new restaurant launches. Vela opened in the below-street-level spot in 2005, replacing the Berkeley Grille.
