The Swellesley Report as art: How we contributed to the techie new Davis Museum exhibit at Wellesley College

celltango

Wellesley College’s Davis Museum and Cultural Center has 2  exhibits opening on Sept. 16 and running through Dec. 13.

One exhibit, Cell Tango, is described as “a dynamically evolving archive of cellphone-transmitted images contributed by participants from anywhere within the reach of cellular transmission and reception.” To submit your images and tags, fire away to here. Here’s the extremely moving and artsy photo I snapped using a BlackBerry Curve, when running by a construction site on Rte. 9 where the old Wellesley Travel Inn was. The photo is titled “PLEASE let it be another CVS”:

The other new Davis Museum exhibit is called 21 Etchings and Poems, and features works from a variety of writers and artists, from Dylan Thomas to Willem DeKooning. We did not contribute to this, but will if asked.
