Bank of America has alerted customers that it will be closing its Wellesley Square branch at 15 Central St. (the convenient one next to where Vidalia’s was/Milestone is opening) at 2pm on January 8. It’s directing customers to head to the Linden St. branch instead.
Separately, rumors are swirling about Citigroup bailing on the Bay State (here’s a Globe report), where it has much less of a presence than it does nationally. Citibank has a branch in Wellesley Square.
