Wellesley College police chief's car swiped

UPDATE:  Boston police recovered the car in Boston on Nov. 29 and the investigation continues.

Someone picked the wrong house to rob and the wrong car to steal, according to this Boston Globe report that Wellesley College police chief Lisa Barbin’s unmarked cruiser was stolen from outside her off-campus home. College and town police are investigating.

According to Wellesley police, the car is a black Ford Taurus four-door sedan bearing Mass. registration 33408. The police also snuffed out rumors that a firearm was in the vehicle when it was stolen.
