Martha Coakley grabbed 5,934 votes to Scott Brown’s 5,922 votes and Josephy Kennedy’s 48 votes, according to preliminary results in Wellesley, where 75% of eligible voters went to the polls. Coakley won in precincts A, B, D and G, with Brown owning C, E and F. Of course, that wasn’t quite enough of a victory to push Coakley to the win across the state.

What about the absentee ballots? Were these counted? If not, it would seem the result is too close to call.
An eight vote lead, with absentee ballots uncounted, cannot honestly be called a win for Coakley.
I’m so glad that the Swellesleyites are finaly over their guilt trip, and came out for Scott Brown. The independent voters of this state are now looking foward to getting rid of Cadillac Deval, he is worthless.
