The sports gear business Ski Market has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, according to a Boston Globe report. It’s unclear what will become of the Ski Market-owned St. Moritz Sports shop on Washington St. in Wellesley, but the CEO wrote in a court filing that the company will try to retain most of its 170 full and part-time employees through the Chapter 11 process, the Globe reports.
On a related note, Connecticut’s attorney general is investigating a customer claim that a Ski Market in Connecticut was no longer accepting gift certificates.
