Bob Collins topped all Wellesley runners at the Boston Marathon with a time of 2:50:59 — an incredible 6:32 per mile pace. Paul Leslie-Smith was next, at just over 3 hours, and for him, the Boston Marathon is a warmup for an even longer race: a 56-miler next month in South Africa.
Martha Blackwell, at 3:18:12, topped Wellesley women in the race.
Carol Chaoui, whose inspirational story has been a hot topic this year, finished in just over 4 hours.
