Wellesley’s favorite TinCap: Nate Freiman

ph_474384

Wellesley’s Nate Freiman, chosen from Duke University by the San Diego Padres in the 8th round of last year’s Major League Baseball draft, is now playing for the Padres’ Single A Fort Wayne TinCaps team. The first baseman is not doing badly either, batting 300 through the first 53 games, with 4 homers and a team-leading 33 RBIs.

What the heck is a TinCap anyway? Has to do with the pot Johnny Appleseed supposedly wore in that part of the country back in the day…

Where is Nate Freiman now? My Grandson really liked him here at the Ft. Wayne Tincaps but we can’t locate him this year (2011).
