Wellesley school librarian writes of life on Morses Pond

Lisa Rogers

Lisa Rogers, library teacher at Hardy Elementary School, has had her story about Wellesley’s 02482 zip code — “Off the Map” — chosen for an audio presentation by WBUR and The Drum literary magazine. Her story tells of skating and swimming on the pond, storing kayaks on neighbors’ docks and a lack of “yummy mummys” in this area sometimes referred to as Leftover Natick.

Listen to Rogers read the story here.

Rogers blogs with help from her dog Tucker at Dreams du Dog.

Off the Map on WBUR was excellent! Charming and witty. Playful digs at the Wellesley/Natick dynamic (in good taste), and a tribute to the community feel of those lucky enough to live on Morses Pond.
    Well done Lisa.
