Wellesley entrepreneur’s group takes majority stake in Maine newspapers

Aaron Kushner, the Wellesley entrepreneur who has been threatening to buy the Boston Globe in recent years, has for now settled for making a big but undisclosed investment in MaineToday Media, which owns newspapers in Portland, Kennebec and Waterville.  The move makes the Kushner-led 2100 Trust the media company’s majority investor.
