No more hefty Wellesley Recreation Department brochures stuffing your mailboxes. The Rec Dept has switched to a skinny little pamphlet in the name of going green. Wellesley's outdoor movie night cancelled

So much for watching Indiana Jones out in the open tonight at Warren Park outside the Recreation Department building. For the second time, the movie has been rained out, and there will be no make-up date this time around.

Wellesley spring recreation program registration kicks off this week

The Wellesley Recreation Department opens online registration for its spring programs on March 10 at 7am for residents. New offerings include Magnificent Mosaics, Wicked Gross Anatomy and Crafts for Boys. A Spring Egg Hunt takes place at the Rec Center on April 11. Time to sign up for summer youth programs

Wellesley offers youngsters (entering grades 6, 7, the chance to learn about police work and firefighting in a series of free summer programs. Number of participants is limited. Registration has begun and participants will be chosen via lottery. WCAC-TV also will have a summer youth program. See Recreation Department for more details and applications.
