Meals tax, new retaining wall rules a go in Wellesley

Town Meeting members approved both a .75% tax on restaurant bills starting in the new year and an amended zoning bylaw designed to make retaining walls safer, shorter and less ugly.

New Wellesley restaurant: We've got your goat

Am embarrassed to say we initially overlooked this unique aspect of  Wellesley’s new Singh’s Cafe: it is offering goat meat in several varieties, including Goat Biryani and Goat Curry. Reader LK poiints out their slogan should be “The Only Place in Wellesley for Goat.”

The Cottage restaurant, which opened last year on Wellesley’s Linden St., has now got itself a web site.  The colorful site features lunch, brunch and dinner menus, and you can make reservations online as well.
