in the 2007-08 Wannamaker Lecture Series. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in the gymnasium of
the Shipley Center on the Dana Hall campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Wellesley Conservation Council's spring program: "A Convenient Truth: A Water-wise Future
for Wellesley and How We Can Get There," a presentation by Peggy Sunshine of the Charles River Watershed Association. Begins

A Star
Party and Moon Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 8, starting at 8 PM at Wellesley Free Library. Co-hosted with the Wellesley
High School Astronomy Club, the program begins in the Library with moon facts, moon tales, and moon myths. Then
(weather permitting) we will go outside for a guided tour of the night sky including the moon and Saturn, using the Wellesley
Astronomy Club's telescopes. This program is perfect for children in grades 4 and up with an adult.

Mass Hort's Herb sale at Elm Bank Reservation 9am-1pm
The Wellesley Mothers Forum's 1st Annual Charity Truck Day & Baby Food Drive will be held on Saturday, May 10th 9am-noon at the Wellesley
High School parking lot. Check out fire trucks, police cars, construction vehicles and more. All proceeds (suggested
donation $5 per child) benefit the Massachusetts Children's Fund, a local organization working tirelessly to feed hungry children throughout the state. The Forum is also looking to collect
1,000 jars of baby food to help the cause. Please contact Joanna Bandte, WMF Children’s

Rick Riordan, author of the popular Percy Jackson & the Olympians
series, is coming to Wellesley Middle School on May 10 at 3pm (doors open at 2:30pm) for a free public event. His new book,
coming out in May, is called The Battle of the Labyrinth. Event
hosted by Wellesley Booksmith, which is also holding a raffle in advance of the event that will reward winners with a chance to meet separately with Riordan.
